TITLE: Information Security Analyst
JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the day to day user provisioning and security functions. Manage end user security access and termination to recourses, applications, and networks.

AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: Information Technology

HOURS OF WORK: Typically Monday – Friday; Hours may vary to meet departmental needs.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director, Technical Services
PREREQUISITES:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and business experience required. Three (3) years of relevant experience can replace requirement for a degree.

Minimum 2 years of security experience with network, clinical, or business systems is required.

Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare information technology, preferred.

Comp TIA Net+ and Security + or equivalent is preferred.

Possession of or being able to obtain Epic Security Certification is required.

Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and related data privacy practices and laws is preferred.

Knowledge of health care operations as it relates to IT security risks and patient information handling is preferred.

Demonstrates experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with currently installed computer and telephone equipment, operating systems, and desktop applications.

Ability to work independently and in teams with good problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Diligent, results-oriented work habits.

Ability to set priorities, produce accurate work, and meet deadlines.

B. Essential Responsibilities and Competencies

Manage end user security access and termination to recourses, applications, and networks.

Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices whether they be under direct control (security tools) or not (works stations, servers, network devices, etc.).

Maintain operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established business baselines.

Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.

Review logs and reports of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (security tools) or not (workstations, servers, network devices, etc.)

Participate in investigations into problematic activities.

Identify potential threats and respond to reported information security violations.

Provide on-call support for end-users for all in-place security solutions.

Participate in the design and execution of security audits.

Determine cause of security violations and recommend corrective actions to ensure data security.

Under the direction of the IT Technical Services Manager, participate in the planning and design of enterprise security architecture.

Participate in centralized security management.

Participate in the development of a consolidated end user onboarding process.

Participate in the creation of enterprise security documents including policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures.

Act as a liaison, gathering information from all departments regarding security issues.

Proactively analyze security procedures in relation to maintaining legal compliance.

Research, recommend and implement changes to procedures and systems to enhance security and/or to address non-compliance to information security standards.
