We are looking for a talented SCADA Analystwho will be responsible for providig support, implementation and maintenance of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA),
You will be hired for a long-term contractual work within Washington DC Metro area.
You may be working from home temporarily then transition to Washington DC Metro area.
The SCADA Analyst is a full-time position with benefits. Salary is negotiable dependent upon the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Meets with operations staff to analyze and document SCADA/DCS and other control system needs; reviews new applications, programs, and their impact on operations; designs, develops, and modifies programs; implements new functionality of SCADA/DCS Systems. Establishes long-term needs for SCADA/DCS systems, and plans strategy for developing systems.
Implements, maintains, and supports systems related to SCADA/DCS applications; researches problems and issues reported by users; determines best method for issue resolution. Installs new releases and program fixes for SCADA/DCS system applications, software, and hardware; provides database administration and maintenance; maintains security of SCADA/DCS and other control systems, databases, and applications.
Troubleshoots, programs, and repairs/replaces programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), logic modules, data modules, and PLC network communications equipment. Evaluates SCADA/DCS system communications performance and monitors SCADA system data collection reports; acts as SCADA /DCS computerized control systems administrator.
Liaison between district staff and various consultants regarding components of the system; maintains contracts for continuing support/maintenance for hardware and software.
Principles and practices of computer science, process control systems, and information system operations and components, including systems analysis, programming, database administration, and network administration.
Modern principles, practices, methods, and techniques used in the installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of data acquisition software, hardware, equipment, networks, and programming applications such as SCADA, PLC, and HMI.
Control systems theory and its practical applications to process control and instrumentation.
Electronic network design principles and communication network design principles.
Complex arithmetic and statistical techniques.
Operation and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and power tools and test equipment common to electrical and electronic work.
Safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the work.
Codes, laws and ordinances pertaining to the work.
Shop and electrical mathematics.
Modern office methods, procedures, and equipment including common office computer software and database programs, including the Microsoft Suite of Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint).
Techniques and principles of effective interpersonal communication.
Principles and practices of good customer service.
Principles and practices of work safety.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
