The Wireless Connectivity Silicon team is looking for a wireless FW test manager to help ensure the quality of the innovative wireless silicon for application in Apple’s products!
7+years’ experience in wireless FW test development, debug, and reporting with 2+years of management experience
Proven management track record and solid experience in leading FW test engineers and developing test infrastructure
Proficient in scripting and debugging in any of the following: Python, Perl, TCL, C++, or equivalent
Experience with the development and deployment of automated test and continuous integration frameworks
Experience in FW/SW white box testing including test plan design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance
Strong problem solving and debugging skills: analyze and investigate test failures, errors, and build issues, able to accurately drive issues to completion.
Understanding of wireless protocol and systems/MAC/PHY, and WiFi/Functional Performance or Stability Testing
Understanding of SW fundamentals and low-level hardware interfaces is a plus
Thrive in a collaborative environment and comfortable working with multi-functional team
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
Establish robust FW test process and methodology to help drive efficient and high quality test of wireless FW: feature functionality, stability and performance Recruiting and staffing, resource planning, and schedule management with FW and test leads. Drive cross- functional communication, project/schedule planning, dependency and risk management. Collaborate with FW, Radio, MAC, and Systems engineering teams to develop FW test plan to ensure the stability and reliability, function correctness and performance of the Apple’s wireless silicon FW and products. Develop test infrastructure, and continuous integration flow for pre-silicon development and post-silicon validation, system integration and debug, including pre-check in, nightly/weekly/release regression test Work on test plan, manual and automatic test setup/scripts, publish test reports, collect test logs, first screen of test failure/debug. Build pre-Silicon, post-silicon reference board test setups, as well as production specific test setups Design and Develop innovative ideas that tackle automation and execution problems. Support development in debugging and reproducing issues, work with system QA on bug reproduce, log/statistic collection, run debug test with debug FW build, etc. Create test result dashboard, support bug triage meetings.
Education & Experience
MS or PH.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
